“Take risks, cause life moves so fast. You’re only young once, my love, this is your chance!” 

Today we celebrate this first baby of mine, this sweet boy who made me a Momma and gave me the best job ever!

I can’t believe he is 10 today, and that he’s been around for an entire decade! He is the perfect big brother, he keeps our family in balance. He is our calm in the storm and also the one who corrects our mistakes. He is an observer and a thinker. He loves God and his family, and is a friend to everyone he meets. He is independent and doesn’t demand attention, which is refreshing and also heartbreaking for this Momma. He is growing incredibly fast and when I look at him I just want time to slow down.

I try extra hard these days to remember to breath him in, soak up every moment, and hold on to all the little details, for before I know it he will be another decade older. We love you so Carter and thank God daily for blessing our family with you!

I am excited for this next chapter of your life, the tween years are both fun and stressful. I know you will handle them with stride as you do every challenge. I am excited to get a front row seat as you take it all on! Tween years here we come!
