What’s the story about the shoe maker’s son who never has shoes or always goes barefoot? Something like that right? Well, I try hard for that not to be the case in my house. I do well over 100 sessions a year now and its a challenge for me to get in my own family and 3 birthday sessions for my kids. But, just like you guys… I’m SO glad when I do! This post is to remind you that it’s okay to not do it all perfectly. You don’t have to be a super hero, pun intended! π
I’ve had visions of a super hero birthday session in my head since my little guy was probably 3 years old. This particular birthday session was taken about a month after he turned 7, edited 5 months after that, and blogged… well, now when he is coming up closer than I care to admit to 8. π³At the end of the day, I’m so happy we did it! Before too long I won’t get him back into a Spiderman costume, he won’t happily wear rain boots in photos, and that scooter will be much too small. And you know what? It won’t matter that I didn’t time it perfectly or post right on time. (Admittedly, I will likely have the urge to come back here and back date the post so that it is chronologically appropriate. What can I say? π)
Anyway my friends let go of perfection, take the photos late, bribe with ice cream, make it silly, messy, and fun. Most importantly Momma’s, give yourselves some grace! π
He is the perfect combination of sweet and sarcastic. He always keeps us laughing, is brave, and so caring. He’s laid back yet determined. An old soul but also pure baby of the family. We are so blessed by all that he brings to our family and we love him to pieces. I cannot believe we are celebrating 7 years old! Happy Birthday Brady boy!
I know too well that this Super Hero stage doesn’t last forever, oh but its a sweet one. This year we decided to capture all the wonder that comes along with it. So glad to have done some photos to always remind us of the wonder and joy being a super hero for the day can bring! Want to schedule a super hero session for your little guy? Let’s do it!
