So you’ve booked a spring session in Tampa, now its time to style your family!  These tips are guaranteed to help anyone planning an upcoming family photoshoot in Tampa or anywhere.

When selecting colors, it’s important to remember a couple things. Where would you like to hang these photos? What colors have you used to decorate your home?  It is also important to choose colors that you feel confident in. I always encourage my clients to “coordinate” rather than “match”.   Also, one of my favorite tips is to easily add layers with long necklaces or hats, and textures with chunky cardigans.

Rust Tones

Rust, mauve, and cream

Rust tones are very trendy but just classic enough to last a lifetime. Rust and orange look great in a lush green field. I love using those deep beautiful colors paired with lighter neutrals. For spring its super fun to take this combination and add a pop of complimentary color, for example teal, gold, or sage. Teal really pops in all locations and looks beautiful on all skin tones.

Creams, tans, pinks and blues

For this color scheme the primary colors are neutral tones like creams, tans, blacks, greys, and browns but there are some small pops of colors.  I love coordinating the pops of colors based on the season. A sprinkle of pastel pinks and dusty blues are the perfect addition for the spring seasons. The great thing about this color scheme is its so versatile and easy to change up. Subtle changes can make the whole feel of the session perfect for any room or season.

Oh so, Neutral!

Think shades or cream and white paired with grey’s or camels.  This color palette is perfect for any location and any time of the year!  It’s also easy to find.  Often times you can pull most items from what is already in your closets. If you like, go with more dark tones for a fall and winter and lean towards lighter choices for spring and summer.
